BLEACHTECH has now achieved one of the main global standards in manufacturing excellence within just six months of its acquisition by ANSA McAL. As of June 2025, both plants are now running at an Availability of >99%, with the Seville, OH plant at 99.9% and the Petersburg, VA plant at 99.3%.

When ANSA McAL acquired BLEACHTECH, the plants were operating at much lower capacities, but a transformation is now taking place driven by a structured integration and continuous-improvement strategy. Jason Philip, Commercial Director, notes that this achievement “demonstrates our commitment to delivering a consistent and reliable supply of safe and sustainable products to our customers.”

Key initiatives enabling this rapid turnaround include:

Comprehensive Training & Talent Development

  • OEM-led training workshops for on-the-job skills development
  • Deepening the talent bench with targeted upskilling

Best-Practice Operating & Safety Standards

  • Implementation of ANSA McAL HSSE protocols including Permit to Work system with Lock Out/Tag Out and JSAs.
  • Updating SOPs/P&IDs
  • Completed HAZOP analysis and Risk Assessments

Advanced Maintenance & Asset Management

  • Deployment of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for preventive maintenance
  • Optimized shutdown planning supported by strategic procurement of OEM spares

Sustainability & Compliance Enhancements

  • Upgraded environmental control systems to ensure full regulatory compliance
  • Incentive programs aligned with continuous-improvement goals

This milestone affirms BLEACHTECH’s readiness to perform at global standards and signals even greater things ahead
